DOT HAZMAT Employee Awareness

The DOT HAZMAT training course is four hours in length and complies with 49 CFR 172.704 (a) (1 & 2) for hazardous materials employees. A hazardous materials employee affects the shipment of hazardous materials by choosing the package, packaging, marking, labeling, completing shipping papers (manifesting), transporting and/or receiving the hazardous material. DOT requires this training to be received within 90 days of assignment and every three years thereafter.

Course attendance is limited to 12 students to encourage interaction and ensure your questions can be answered.

KTC will supply an experienced instructor for the program as well as all course materials, instructional aides and equipment necessary to complete the program. Trainees will be provided with log-in information at registration. All course materials shall become the property of the trainees. Each student will be awarded a certificate of training upon completion of the program.
